Bicycle safety on the test bench. MAGURA has been setting new standards in performance and innovation for over 130 years.
The most advanced testing and development methods of our MAGURA Test Lab guarantee the safety of our products. In recent years, we have continuously expanded our laboratory capabilities and now exceed industry standards. This approach is well received. Most recently, even media outlets such as the german Bike Magazin have used our test benches for their tests.
Did you know that many bikes are approved for a maximum permissible total weight of 120 kg? Because the actual use of e-bikes – including rider, backpack or trailer – is often different, we offer many of our brakes for total weights of well over 180 kg.
Our tests: Load tests up to 250 kg total weight.
Our promise: Real usage approvals for high total weights. The GUSTAV PRO even up to 250 kg.
Because in reality every metre can be decisive, the braking force and heat resistance of our products far exceed the usual requirements. Tests in the laboratory and on the road help us optimize our products. We always test a wide range of loading conditions.
Our tests: Braking distance measurements in the laboratory and in the field.
Our promise: MAGURA brakes enable short braking distances and braking performance that exceeds the legal requirements.
Reliable function in every situation. We understand the environmental influences of our products. That’s why we test our products in a wide variety of situations and simulate their service life.
Our tests: Each of our brakes is tested between -30 and +60 °C ambient temperature. In wet and salty conditions. And in load tests over several thousand braking cycles.
Our promise: MAGURA brakes offer reliable performance in all conditions.
In daily live and pro-sports. Our founder recognised back in 1893 that testing in professional racing provides important product feedback. And even today we test many prototypes and series products with our stars such as Fabio Wibmer, Danny MacAskill and Alex Rudeau.
With success: MAGURA brakes have recently won several MTB world championship titles!
Continuous testing helps us maintain our products at the highest standard. But we also believe in thinking beyond the obvious. Safety through new technologies is a key driver of our work: MAGURA innovations such as eBike ABS components or the IBS have proven to help prevent accidents. They improve handling and optimize braking performance—especially for inexperienced riders.
At MAGURA, we search and invent, design and construct, giving our all for the safe bicycle mobility of the next generation. And we are now in the fourth generation of our family.
