The GUSTAV ELITE offers the same outstanding GUSTAV performance for heavy bikes, 2.5 mm rotors and 194 % pad wear volume compared to an MT A2.*
Because sometimes size does matter! The GUSTAV ELITE offers unprecedented heat stability with its one-piece forged oversized brake callipers and 2.5 mm brake rotors, which we can proudly release up to 250 kg.
Even the most powerful brake is useless if you can’t modulate it sensitively. By enlarging the pistons to 12 mm / 19 mm, we were able to significantly reduce the pressure in the brake system. This means that less force is lost in the hose and co. – the result is a defined pressure point with unbeatable modulation. The award-winning benchmark.
That’s why we’ve doubled the time to maintenance with the GUSTAV! Extra-large brake pads with 94 % more volume and thick 2.5 mm brake rotors with a 2.1 mm wear limit keep you out of the workshop.
The optional GUSTAV ELITE switch lever activates your bike’s rear light and warns following vehicles before the braking power arrives! A small feature with a big effect.
Made from our innovative Carbotecture, the new GUSTAV ELITE lever provides precision and comfort in every position. Raised and textured polygons in the grip area provide grip and a high-quality look!

The new one-piece Carbotecture IG clamp offers a tidy look – without compromising on function. It can be easily clipped onto the handlebars without having to remove the grip. And thanks to its compatibility with our Shiftmix IG adapters, you can integrate the shifter directly.
MDR-S 2.5
Like the PRO, the GUSTAV ELITE uses 2.5 mm thick brake rotors, which clearly sets it apart from the standard. Thanks to its greater mass, the rotor heats up more slowly, remains in the optimum temperature range for longer and therefore delivers consistently strong performance - even under continuous load. The result: an extremely smooth, vibration-free braking feel with minimal noise. Alternatively, the GUSTAV ELITE can also be ridden with conventional 2.0 mm rotors - without any bleeding or adjustments.
Carbotecture Brake master
Strong in appearance and smart in design, the GUSTAV ELITE brake master blends seamlessly into modern cockpits thanks to its 0° cable outlet, ensuring a clean and organized setup. With a reservoir that holds 7 ml of oil — almost twice as much as the MT7 — you minimize maintenance effort and bleeding frequency. The GUSTAV ELITE is also ABS-compatible and supports the direct mounting of SRAM and Shimano shifters via the integrated Shiftmix mount. The brake master is technically based on the GUSTAV PRO; the only differences are the cover, clamp, and brake lever.

The brake caliper of the GUSTAV ELITE can be optionally equipped with a bleeding valve - for even easier installation and maintenance. The valve is already included in the MAGURA Service Kit.

Forged in one piece, it impresses with its high rigidity and forms the ideal basis for maximum braking performance. An enlarged air gap between the pad and brake rotor reduces grinding noise and makes maintenance easier, reducing workshop time and increasing riding pleasure. Compared to the GUSTAV PRO, the GUSTAV ELITE comes with a slightly simpler surface finish, but delivers the same impressive performance on the trail.

Because the brake pad is much more than just a wear part, we have invested a lot of development work in the MDP 13 BLACK/GREY!
As a true all-rounder, it hits the sweet spot of high braking force, resilience, smooth running and durability. In combination with the GUSTAV, it ensures a quiet, reliable and powerful braking experience.
Thanks to 76 % more pad volume compared to the MT7, you also need to visit the workshop significantly less often.

The GUSTAV ELITE will be available on complete bikes from summer 2025. The brake will be available individually from specialist dealers from the beginning of 2026. The recommended retail price is expected to be € 200.00.
