You can use adapters to optimally match your MAGURA disc brake to the mounting standard of your fork or frame. Which adapter you need depends on the specifications provided by your frame or fork manufacturer, as well as the rotor size you choose for your setup. At the end of this page, you’ll find a list of the most common mounting standards to help you determine the correct adapter for your configuration.

POSTMOUNT ADAPTER

The postmount mounting standard is used on most suspension forks and frames. A distinction is usually made between PM6″ (direct mounting of 160 mm rotors), PM7″ (180 mm) and PM8″ (203 mm). Postmount adapters allow the mounting of different brake disc diameters.

IS 2000 ADAPTER

In the case of the less common IS2000 standard, brake callipers or adapters are screwed to the side of the frame. Adapters can also be used to mount postmount callipers on IS2000 frames.

FLATMOUNT ADAPTERS

Flatmount brake callipers are particularly small. They’re primarily used on racing bikes or cross-country mountain bikes. Folding mount adapters enable the mounting of different brake disc diameters. However, you can’t install IS or postmount brake callipers on the flatmount mounting standard.
